As mentioned in the Wanstead and Woodford Guardian, Local residents are being encouraged to sign up to a scheme which may improve on their expenditure for energy bills. The Big London Switch project is supported by Redbridge Council and aims to use the buying power of residents to lower energy costs. Each energy supplier will bid for the custom of those involved within the scheme and the company who submits the lowest price wins and participants will then be contacted with information about offers available to them. Residents can then change energy suppliers. Residents only have until April 8th to sign up for the scheme. There is no obligation to switch energy suppliers however.
